Allan's weekly TGA Email

Thanks to Thomas Vuong for our excellent DJ music this past Tuesday.   He will also be returning this  next week on 5-12.

Fred Fang taught our first West Coast Swing dance lesson with the introduction of several new steps. The dance lessons are meant to be interactive, so don't hesitate to raise your hand and ask questions at any time during the lessons.

New Announcement:

TGA has a new web site at: https://www.tgasantaclaraseniorcenter.com/

You will enjoy checking out this excellent new site.  Just click the link to go to the new website.

The new site contains a playlist of videos of recent dances plus the videos of past lessons.

Dance Party Videos and past Dance Lessons are now available on our new TGA website:

A Youtube Playlist has been created which shows our Dance Party Videos.  Furthermore, these Dance Party videos, unlike the Lesson Videos which are made public, are "Unlisted," meaning only people (members) who know the link can view them. You can see them at our website (Dance Party Videos) https://www.tgasantaclaraseniorcenter.com/

A pair of women's gold earrings were left at our 12-16 dance and can be retrieved from the front desk.  They belong to a lady who danced with one of our tallest excellent TGA dancers, Bud Houston; and who asked him to hold on to them during their dance.  Unfortunately Bud does not know her name. (see attached photo below)

Lost and Found items are retained in the dance hall in the coat rack area to the left of the entry doors to the dance.  Also, some items can be claimed from the Santa Clara Senior Center front desk during their open hours:  M-W: 7 am-7pm; T-Th 7am-3pm; Sat: 8am-12pm  Sunday closed.

NOTE to all TGA Dancers:

Please be careful to not spill any liquids on the dance floor or in the seating areas.  Also do not allow any powder or other substances to be placed on the floor.

We invite all to share any dancing experiences, photos etc.

Jeanne Wood contributed a poem celebrating TGA Dance:

   Welcome friends and neighbors,

   so dear,

We're happy to have you here,

   We'll play some music, dance,

   have fun.

When we end we want to say,

We hope you had a wonderful day.

At TGA the dancers are very welcoming with a very pleasant social atmosphere.    You are welcome to bring a younger partner or instructor who would not normally meet SCSC minimum age requirements.  All are welcome.

Looking forward to dancing!!!
